Luby's

Food is consistent as always. Let’s be honest, most of us come here for the fish. Which is good and their tartar sauce is among the best. Liver and onions comes in at a close second. That’s another favorite choice of mine. The fish is now in big strips, not a big rectangular patty anymore. I wonder what’s going there? Either way, this place is good and a staple for many folks here in San Antonio.

I didn’t realize that there was a Luby‘s on Southeast Military - so many of them have closed, and those that are remaining are not always that great. Walking in here and seeing everything so organized and fresh made me think of my childhood every years when Luby’s was in its prime. This restaurant is clean. The food was fresh. The recipes and flavors are just like what I remember from growing up. get there early if you want their strawberry shortcake. It sells out fast. We will definitely be returning.

My second favorite place to have enchiladas! However, I do miss the strawberry shortcake being served in a plate!
